This course develops skills and knowledge required to gather, analyse, test and verify data from different source inputs. It applies to those who work in data analytics roles in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) environment and are responsible for identifying data from a range of source inputs, analysing and investigating abnormalities and reporting against an organisation’s requirements.

What’s in this course?

This course allows you to broaden your knowledge and understanding about how to gather, analyse and verify data from different source inputs. It provides ways to analyse structures, operations and data of the organisation. It provides information about the various data sources, data types and different extraction techniques used to retrieve needed information from the data and sources. It will help you to understand the impacts of data collections for analysis.

The guide provides a detailed understanding of the ways to secure and prepare data for the extractions and ways to carry out extractions. The guide also provides information about the importance of data normalisation and various methods of normalisation. Normalisation helps to analyse the data depending on the task requirements.

Moreover, the guide helps to identify the ways to report the organisation’s format and structure. It will guide about ways to report analysis activities and result as per task requirement. Finally, it provides how to submit the report to required personnel and seek and respond to feedback given by them in workplaces.

All this information is going to be discussed in four different chapters which are:

• Plan for data extraction and gathering

• Gather and prepare data for analysis

• Analyse and verify data

• Finalise reporting activities

At the end of this training, you will be asked to complete an online assessment.  The online quizzes will assess your skills and knowledge required to plan, analyse data and develop reports.

You will need to achieve 100% on the quizzes to be deemed as successful, and you will have unlimited attempts to achieve this.  Once you have attained this 100%, you will be awarded an IIBP Certificate of Attainment to add to your portfolio.
